The Palestinian Environmental Friends Association (PEF) is currently implementing a project titled “Enhancing Safe Access to Sanitation Services and Achieving a Healthy Environment in the Most Vulnerable Communities in Khan Yunis Governorate.” This project is being carried out in collaboration with the Al Nakkel Association with support from the oPt Humanitarian Fund (oPt HF).
The project is being executed in effective coordination with the Coastal Municipalities Water Authority (CMWU) and Khan Yunis Municipality, with active participation from the Al-Sater neighbourhood committee. The main objective of this project is to improve the health and environmental conditions in the Al-Sater neighbourhood of Khan Yunis Governorate by establishing a comprehensive sewage network and household connections serving more than 3,844 residents in this neighbourhood. Additionally, the project aims to raise community awareness about health and environmental issues through awareness sessions and the dissemination of informative messages to the residents of the Al-Sater neighbourhood.
